The 2024 CEL/ELC Conference, titled “Multilingualism in Higher Education: Current Perspectives and Emergent Issues”, has been held at Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB) in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on November 28th-29th, 2024. The conference provided an in-depth exploration of the need to reassess the role of dominant contact languages within the multilingual landscape of internationalized higher education. It emphasized the importance of ensuring an equitable distribution of linguistic resources among diverse groups of students, taking into account linguistic, ethnic, and cultural differences.
