European Language Council
The European Language Council is a permanent and independent association whose main aim is the quantitative and qualitative improvement of knowledge of the languages and cultures of the European Union and beyond.
Membership is open to all institutions of higher education and all national and international associations with a special interest in languages.

The association's permanent secretariat is at the Freie Universität Berlin (DE).

ENLU Closing Conference
The Closing Conference of the ENLU project was held in the presence of Commissioner Ján Figelí in Nancy on 7-8 April 2006. The principal outcome of ENLU will be the launch of a more permanent network.

Results of the elections to the Board and to the Executive Committee
The General Assembly held in Brussels on 28 September 2007 re-elected seven members and elected two new members to the Board. The Board in turn re-elected the outgoing Executive Committee.

Completion of TNP3 and dissemination of results
Following the successful completion of TNP3 (2003-2006), the results and outcomes of the project are now being dessiminated Europe wide trough a one-year dissemination network (TNP3-D).
